Day 15 - Nikko Edo Wonderland

cos there were 3 cameramen for this excursion.. Haha..

Today we are going to Nikko Edomura (Samurai and Ninja Village),
3 hours north of Tokyo!

Friends for today are: Shiozaki-san and Kuroki-san desu~~
Kudos to Shiozaki-san for driving today!
and Kudos to Kuroki-san for directions from Tokyo (although we got lost halfway)

今日、日光江戸村へ行きます！
ドライブは3時間ぐらいです～なんか遠いなあ～

今日、塩崎さんと黒木さんも連れて来ました♪
私たち二人で日光まで行くのはゼッタイ無理だね！

Tempura Set

Love the Yama Kurage (which literally means Mountain Jellyfish, it's the green veg).
It's crunchy like Jellyfish, but it's a veggie, thus the name.

I love veggies and Kiki doesn't so I ate up her share too. Haha

野菜が大好きで、妹の山クラゲも食べちゃった＾＾
本当においしかったよ！山クラゲ。

The highlight and also the rather horrible place in the town..
一番面白いけど、なんか怖い場所。。

seriously I am not sure how it works but apparently it is a training ground for ninjas.

the gravitational pull seems to be very, very strong inside the house and even when you stand still, your body inclines to the side... which makes walking really difficult..

you won't fall, no matter how you stand, the gravitational pull keeps you standing..

besides, the structure itself is a bit slanted..

not just us, others were struggling..

bars for u to hold on.. you may just be "sucked" by the pull and hit against the wall..

it's really funny... goes like this:

馬のマネ：　パッパカパッパカパッパカ・・・

Do it real fast and you get a good mimick.

i can't really rmb, but since we were leaving the place where we just learned the Pa-paka, I suspect Kiki was imitating the action when you pull the horse's reins to stop it.

hahahaa... the more I look at this photo the funnier I think it is....

妹は多分、馬を止まさせる時のマネしていた・・（笑）

what's next?

leaving at a pretty early hour because we are far from home,
and we have 2 more places to go..

After this we went to Yamada Denki ヤマダ電器♪(Japan really has BIG electronic shops, and the drop of prices are pretty quick because they always have new models) to get Kuroki-san's iPod Nano.
But there was no stock~

the iPod was only around SIN$200(?) and iPhone was around SIN$300.

Kiki almost cried cos her ipod cost around $300.. hmmm.

Tokki as messenger to return money to Kuroki-san

とっちゃんはお金が払いたいけど。。。

Money tied onto Tokki's head by her ears and Kuroki-san refused to take the money and even wanted to eat her up!
Must be because we ate up all the meat, and he was hungry.. haha...

黒木さんはお金を耳の中で挟んでいるとっちゃんがたべるつもりだった。。
やっぱり肉が足りなかった。。妹と私は食べちゃったからね。。

We really had great fun, food and company today :)
Thanks Kuroki-san and Shiozaki-san for arranging the itinerary, and arranging their off-days to go out with us :)
